Smashed Meatball Sandwich

Smashed Meatball Sandwich

Want a new take on the meatball sandwich and love crispy smash burgers? Then the Six Corners smashed meatball sandwich is for you!

Meatballs

1 pound ground beef

1 tsp minced garlic

1/4 finely grated parmesan cheese

1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs

1/4 cup milk

1 egg

1.5 tsp Fire & Smoke BBQ Company Six Corners rub

Combine the ingredients and form roughly 12 meatballs, however, roll them to a sausage shape.

Prepare your griddle the same way you’d make smash burgers and drop the meatballs on and let them sit for a moment before smashing. Use the spatula to push the side in a bit if they are more rounded than long.

Flip once crispy and finish cooking.

Assemble your sandwich. Two patties will fit on a 6 inch sandwich bun. Top with your choice of cheese. (Shown are slices of provolone followed by the patties, favorite sauce and then freshly grated mozzarella.)
